On behalf of the Management and the Staff of Dhemaji College, I offer my hearty welcome to Dhemaji College, the premier institution of Dhemaji District, Assam.
       Life is not a set of instructions, but it is a series of experiences and learning process. Dhemaji College is no exception. Over the years, our college has grown into an institution of significant stature in the educational scene not only in the north bank of Assam under Dibrugarh University, but also in the entire educational field of Assam. During 1965-2020, the college has involved to attain its visionary goals through its activities in the fields of academic and co-curricular along with its missionary approach. Having experiences the Glorious Golden Jubilee Year, let us share our experiences together for the quality enhancement in higher education. We are constantly improving and evolving strategies to enhance our students' success. To meet the demands of Globalization and Competition, we are trying to offer and improved a vast of range of study options to widen the horizons of knowledge, awareness and outlook of our students as we strongly believe in sustainable academic development. Our qualified and dedicated faculty employ innovative teaching techniques supplemented with practical learning experiences that contributed to the academic excellence achieved by our students. Seminars, Discussions, Symposia, Project Presentation, Workshops, Educational Tours, Cultural Activities, Games & Sports, NCC, NSS & other co-curricular activities is a part of the learning process.
       Much remains to be accomplished. We cannot rest on the laurels of yesterday. We must have concern the tomorrow's generation. We have to move and think ahead of our times. Keeping pace with the fast changing scenario the students support facilities and the infrastructure of the college are continuously upgraded. We have given importance to add new and well equipped infrastructure and student support facilities along with the programs which cater to future carrier trends.
       In addition, it has been our constant endeavour to improve the vital academic support services such as library and computer networking, mental and health care centre, career guidance and personality development, weather information centre etc. that will enable to access the great pool of knowledge in modern competitive knowledge society. As a part of the initiatives towards improving academic support facilities, we proudly offer the Digital Classroom cum Video Conferencing facilities, Wi-Fi facility to satisfy the criteria of optimality to ensure knowledge empowerment through connectivity among the stack holders of different knowledge components.
       We are proud to mention that our college was conferred the status of College of Centre with Potential for Excellence (CPE) by the UGC, 2010. In addition, it is also a matter of pleasure to inform that the Rastriya Uchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) has already adopted Dhemaji College under the scheme of Upgradation of the Existing Degree College to Model Degree College and allotted an amount of Rs. 4.00 crores in the year 2016-17 towards realizing the scheme. We are happy enough that the said scheme has been implemented as per RUSA guideline in a stipulated period of time for academic and co-curricular growth of the institution. We have successfully added the following infrastructure in the college campus- Practice Cricket Field with Matting and Netting, installation of Volley Ball Court(Modular tiles fitted), upgradation of Basket Ball Court(Modular tiles fitted), upgradation of Badminton Court, upgradation of Gymnasium, upgradation of existing library services, installation of Digital Library, Power Generators for Boys’ Hostel, Girls' Hostel & Auditorium, Water Treatment Plants with Iron Remover facilities for Boys' & Girls' Hostels, Pure Drinking water facility(RO system) in hostels as well in the campus¬ under RUSA. Apart from these, construction of laboratory buildings, E-campus/Computer Centre Building, upgradation of Classroom Building, Academic Building, Wash Room Blocks for Boys' & Girls', Campus Development, upgradation of Auditorium, College Canteen are the some of the projects that have been already completed. We would like inform that under state government infrastructure development scheme (Rs.1 crore) the ground floor and 1st floor of three stories building (160x36 Sqft) with a modern well equipped digital video conferencing cum class room has been added with existing infrastructure. We acknowledge the support of Missing Autonomous Council(MAC) for upgradation of the college academic environment by adding a RCC class room. Recently we have completed the top floor of a building (160x36 Sq)feet from Assam government fund and from college own resources.
      We are fortunate to announce that Assam Government has proposed to introduce the Integrated B.Ed. course in the Dhemaji college and we have submitted application for NCTE for permission.
       The college has produced alumni that have achieved success in their public as well as professional lives. Our endeavour is to see that our college leaves a measurable impact on the society at large.
       As such, we believe that in the coming years the Dhemaji College will be the most productive, challenging and interesting platform for students as well as for society under the New Education Policy(NEP).
